SEASONS

Life happens in seasons. Ecclesiastes tells us that there is a time for everything and everything has a season. There are good seasons. Bad seasons. Seasons filled with obstacles and others overflowing with opportunities. Seasons of joy. Season of great pain. Gain and loss. Yes, life happens in seasons. But through all the seasons, trials and circumstances in life, God makes us beautiful.

And even though seasons change, God does not. It’s in the tough season that we often grow the most. No matter what season you find yourself, no season lasts forever. My mom used to always say, “This too shall pass” so in other words, change is always on its way. I have found that being consistent is such a key to growth regardless of what season I may be facing. Even though each drip from a leaky faucet gets annoying quickly, we must remember this is how canyons are made. Not all at once, but through the power found in consistency.  No matter what season you find yourself in, consistency will bring breakthrough, stability and who knows, it may also bring you to new levels and perhaps even promotion.

Since God never wastes a season, where you are right now is preparing you for what is next. Be consistent – there is power in the daily. In those difficulty seasons, we need to remind ourselves that God is at work in our lives so let’s be grateful and try not grumble. Seasons may change but He does not. He will be faithful to you no matter your season. He’s got this!

I have found that being consistent is such a key to growth regardless of what season I may be facing. Picture with me a leaky faucet. No problem you think. It’s just a leaky faucet. Nothing that a trip to the local hardware store can’t fix, right? You try everything … but you can’t stop it. No matter what you try to fix it, it still drips … that’s right … one drop at a time. All you hear is drip … drip …. drip. If you’ve ever been in this situation, you know it can get annoying rather quickly. Each drip on its own may seem inconsequential but over time, possesses a great amount of power. That’s how canyons are made. Not over night or all at once, but through the power of consistency.

That’s why there is so much to be said for being consistent. No matter what season you find yourself, consistency will bring breakthrough, stability and who knows, it may also bring you to new levels and perhaps even promotion. Since God never wastes a season, where you are right now is preparing you for what is next. Be consistent … there is power in the daily. We must remember that God is at work in every season in our lives so let’s be grateful and try not grumble.
