In a time when we weren’t able to GO to church,
we didn’t stop BEING the church.
We realize that right now everything is crazy and can feel out of control. But we want to assure you that God is still and always will remain in complete control! Our response has been built on two things: we trust, we care. During this time, we have been given a tremendous opportunity to spread the love of God and His peace during a very confusing and uncertain time.
It’s our desire to minister to every member of your family and our community, from the youngest to the oldest. During the quarantine, our children’s team, youth pastors, and leaders created incredible ways for you to stay connected. Follow us on FACEBOOK for words of encouragement, teaching, and ways to impact our community.

It’s a scary world we live in. Right now, COVID-19 is affecting everyone’s life. So many are facing job loss, small businesses are dealing with financial challenges, schools are closed, it’s brought health issues and the list goes on and on. It’s thrown a wrench in our daily schedules and interfered with travel plans. There are just so many uncertainties that surround COVID-19. Fears and questions are rising and robbing our peace. We wonder, where did this virus start, are they telling us everything, how are we going to pay our rent or pay for groceries, who is going to help me school my children, is the person standing next to me infected…
So what are we to do? How should we respond? To be honest, it’s really hard to trust God during difficult times. Bad circumstances in this life are unavoidable. Even though the pressure to cave to fear is great, each of need to remember the words of Psalms 46, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear.” The God of this very chapter makes this promise very personal. He tells us to, “Be still and know that I am God.” What an invitation to get to know Him better. The more you get to know Him, the easier it is to trust Him. We can run to Him just like a child runs to into their Daddy’s arms. I like to think of this verse like this, Be still especially when it all doesn’t make sense. The word still means to let go or release. So let’s name our fear, our doubt and our worry to the one
who is our refuge and strength and release it to His care.

I believe that COVID-19 has been the wake-up call God is using to get our attention. He is nudging us during this time to focus on what
is truly important and to put our complete trust in Him. He has literally caused us to be still … and to know that He is God. So, help your neighbor, continue to give generously by showing up in your community by supporting that small local business, and resist the urge
to be selfish. Life is going on – it’s just different for a period of time. We are all in this together so let’s keep our trust in Him who comes along side us and gives us the strength that equips us for such a time as this.
We are deeply committed to keeping the family of FFWC connected and cared for during this unprecedented time. Therefore, we provide information but more importantly through conversation in new and creative ways. We are also challenging our FFWC family to step up and show our support to our wonderful community.
Here is just the start:
